2014 – Present
Designed the Digital Agora (DA) – integrating public policies, spaces and technologies to produce a new calibration between representative and direct democracy at the city level and provide a complementary education to the current school curriculum. It is designed to decrease asymmetries of information while improving civic engagement and executing the Right to the City through the creation of new forms of public space (physical + digital). The first DA was inaugurated @RioLab in Park Sitiê in February of 2014 and is used for a range of educational and democratic activities.
A case study on the Digital Agora was published in The Responsive City: Engaging Communities Through Data-smart Governance, By Susan Crawford and Stephen Goldsmith, 2014
